Quite frankly, the expansion of animal rights and the removal of same-sex marriage rights perplexes me. Shouldn't it be that animals have more rights and freedom to roam around free range EXCEPT the homosexual ones (and ones engaging in such behavior)?

While my natural reaction is to bristle at the notion of beloved characters getting killed off, reality is that it helps drive story forward and the setting is plausible with characters' well-beings at stake, especially if ye want the story to actually.. evolve, go somewhere, and matter to the audience. Think it'll be a key point that the merchandise follows the story and not the other way around. I already like the character designs, actually, so the products will be happily welcome however short-lived some characters may be.

Meh.. back to reality...

I pretty much don't talk about it anymore but nowadays my stress levels are reaching near critical. People suck. The facade of a calm, cheerful, capable demeanor is going to break down. Not gonna be able to keep this up on my own..

As someone who's never been all that interested in the Olympics at all, I must say the men's 4x100 freestyle relay was amazing, and the last guy who made it all happen, Jason Lezak, was unreal. The American team was completely behind the French, yet Lezak caught up at the last moment setting not only a personal world record but singlehandedly carrying the US team ahead of at least two other teams who were already beating the world record in the same race.

Stolens from [info]gamerave.

Although I don't think I've really been through enough relationships to actually tell. I don't think it's that I'm quick to fall in love. I'm just quick once I finally realize I'm in it (which is surprisingly rare). An' I don't think I'm that much like Kaylee... >_>

Your result for The Attachment Style Test...

The Cuddleslut

35% Anxiety Over Abandonment and 29% Avoidance Of Intimacy

You're mostly secure, but sometimes you need a little extra reassurance to make it through the tough times. You are usually affectionate and sweet, and you find it easy to fall in love. An encouraging word from a crush or a loved one can motivate you for weeks.

Fictional character with whom you might identify: Kaylee (Firefly/Serenity), Hiro Nakamura (Heroes)

Other Attachment Types:
Secure: The Unicorn | The Cuddleslut | The Free Agent
Preoccupied: The Cling Wrap | The Squid | The Insect
Fearful: The Doormat | The Leper | The Exile
Dismissing: The Hermit | The Stone | The Player
Confused: The Waffler

Stolen from [info]chichiri.

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed."

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

WATCHING MOVIES DOES NOT COUNT!!!

If you've actually come across this puzzle and actually know the solution, don't post it. But DO post if there's something wrong with that description of it.

Because after listening to my friend's solution (he was the one who sent me the link), we later realized it was flawed. Moreover, I've made several deductions which are making it seem impossible. I'll list them in a bit behind a cut. Basically, since the xkcd guy isn't the original author but asserts that a straight solution is possible, I think he may have misphrased or miscommunicated some crucial fact.

BTW, there's been a common solution, but I think it's actually.. too simplistic. Be careful not to click if you want to try to work either it or a fully rigorous solution (presuming they're even different).

For some reason this evening I suddenly remembered a name "Prince Pondicherry", but I didn't recall where. So I looked him up and finally remembered. But see if you can remember who he was before dashing off for wikipedia-mobile.
